Smart glasses for Amazon delivery drivers. A green display in one eye shows the next address and task, so drivers carrying parcels do not need to check a phone.

- The Amazon smart glasses team
Optics, from April to July 2025.
The display sits in front of one eye. From April to July 2025 I worked on the optics that carry the image to that eye. A tiny projector makes a green image. A thin layer of glass inside the lens carries the light across and turns it toward the eye.
Two things were hard. First, making the glasses small and light enough to wear all day. Second, fitting different people: the distance between the eyes varies, and many people need prescription lenses, so the optics have to work across many faces and prescriptions. A display for both eyes is harder, because the two images have to line up.
Amazon announced the product on 22 October 2025.
