Our words are ours
Most LinkedIn posts are off-putting because they just sound like one another. Our words are ours, you have the ability to YELL and Sing and ʷʰᶦˢᵖᵉʳ. It would be a shame for that to fade away.
As a result, reading the literature before 2022 is essential now. Writers didn’t have a choice; they had to simply write beautifully. Beautifully enough to engage us, to challenge us and make us think, to be eager to turn the page and see what happened to our favourite character because that seemed like a nasty blow to the head, and I really hope he’s doing ok because if it’s the end of his story I’m going to be so sad… ok I’ll stop now.
P.S. I found myself using the AI tropes in my own writing, even in writing this post. The ‘it’s not this, it’s that’ and a few oversimplifications to make myself sound clearer. Try writing your own posts and see if you notice yourself falling into these traps.
P.P.S. This was written entirely by me; all grammar mistakes and typos are mine (and proudly mine).
